Viral video: Violist Lukas Kmit has a creative response to the phone ringing during his performance

Viol­ist Lukas Kmit, while per­form­ing at a Jew­ish Ortho­dox syn­agogue in Presov, Slov­akia, was dis­turbed by a ring tone.

Alan Gil­bert stopped a per­form­ance of Mahler’s Ninth Sym­phony at the Avery Fisher Hall a few weeks ago when an iPhone star­ted ringing. Ric­cardo Muti con­tin­ued con­duct­ing an over­ture at La Scala while glar­ing back­wards over his shoulder at the cul­prit for at least half a minute.
